Microsoft at the Space Technology Park
On 28 November 2024, the ‘Microsoft Education Day’ event took place at the Space Technology Park, bringing together representatives from the fields of education and new technologies. The event was organised by Mariusz Biniewski, the Lubuskie Regional Superintendent of Education, Microsoft Poland and AB Innovation Designer, in collaboration with partners: the Teacher Training Centre in Zielona Góra and the Space Technology Park.
Welcoming the participants
At the start of the event, participants were welcomed by Marek Cebula, Governor of the Lubuskie Province; Mariusz Biniewski, Lubuskie Regional Superintendent of Education; Edyta Paczkowska – Deputy Director of the Teacher Training Centre in Zielona Góra, and Ewa Kołodziejczyk – a representative of Microsoft Poland.
The event was also attended by Katarzyna Lubnauer, Deputy Minister of National Education. In her speech, she emphasised the vital role of modern technologies in education – particularly artificial intelligence – and the importance of collaboration between schools and educational institutions with partners such as Microsoft.



Aim and programme of the event
The aim of the meeting was to promote innovative solutions in education and to build digital skills amongst teachers. Participants had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with modern educational tools, listen to inspiring talks and take part in practical workshops, which included, amongst other things:
- Cybersecurity and digital wellbeing at school.
- The use of artificial intelligence in preparing pupils for exams.
- Developing key competences, such as reading comprehension, in the modern classroom.
- School management using artificial intelligence – Copilot.



Exhibitors’ Area
Participants also had the opportunity to visit the stands of leading technology companies, such as Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo and MAC Technologie, which showcased their innovative solutions to support education.



Summary
“Microsoft Education Day” was a unique opportunity for teachers and representatives of the education administration to exchange experiences and gain new knowledge. The Space Technology Park is proud to support such initiatives, which contribute to the development of digital skills and the introduction of modern technologies in education.
