"Let’s Talk" Webinar #2
Tuesday, 12 May | 5.00–6.00
pm Is space becoming a new market… or should it remain under strict state control?
Join us for the next event in the ‘Let’s Talk’ series, during which we will tackle one of the most significant dilemmas in contemporary space law and policy.
Host: Dr Mateusz Tomczyk
, Institute of Legal Sciences, University of Zielona Góra
Topic: Black Friday or a state monopoly?
The starting point for the discussion will be the tension between the commercialisation and nationalisation of outer space — in other words, the question of who should decide on its future.
During the meeting, we will discuss, amongst other things:
• whether private entities should have complete freedom of action in
outer space• whether, and to what extent, states should retain
control• what effective regulation of the space sector might look like•
whether states are sufficiently efficient and consistent to manage this domain
Outer space is a shared domain — but are we capable of looking after it together?
You’re welcome to join us!
