During the methodological and scientific seminar ‘Assessment for Development – Principles, Challenges, Support Tools’, which took place at the Space Technology Park – Research, Development and Innovation, the Minister for Education, Barbara Nowacka, had the opportunity to tour our Park and familiarise herself with its key areas of activity. She was accompanied by PTK’s Vice-President, Dr Zbysław Dobrowolski, and the Director of the Infrastructure and Laboratory Services Department, Leszek Urban, who outlined the research and training opportunities offered by the Park.

During her visit, the Minister toured the UAV Pilot Training Centre, the Materials Engineering and Strength Testing Laboratory, and the clean room for the assembly, integration and testing of satellite systems and subsystems.

Advanced laboratories and innovative technologies

The Materials Engineering and Strength Testing Laboratory offers comprehensive research facilities, covering macro-, meso- and micro-scale testing. It serves a wide range of clients – from the engineering and automotive industries to precision engineering and space technologies. A state-of-the-art suite of equipment enables strength testing, material structure analysis and testing for resistance to external factors.

The cleanroom laboratory for the assembly, integration and testing of satellite systems and subsystems provides an ISO 7 cleanroom environment, essential for work on advanced electronic and mechanical systems. It is equipped with specialist equipment enabling testing and simulation under demanding environmental conditions, applicable in space technology and other advanced industrial sectors.

Modern drone training at PTK

The Minister of Education also familiarised herself with the activities of the UAV Pilot Training Centre, which specialises in providing advanced training and consultancy on the use of drones. The Centre offers support to local authorities, businesses and specialist services, and its infrastructure includes its own drone training ground. Thanks to its collaboration with experienced instructors and a wide range of courses, this centre provides an essential training base for future unmanned aerial vehicle operators.

During the visit, the educational initiatives being carried out at the Park were also discussed, as well as opportunities for further collaboration to train specialists in the field of new technologies.

The Space Technology Park remains open to collaboration with educational institutions and businesses, offering modern laboratory and training facilities that support technological development and innovative solutions.
