R&D project entitled ‘Smart Satellite Manipulator’

Partners: CBK PAN, DTP, SpaceCase, InfoTech, the Lubusz Metal Cluster, S.A.B., the University of Zielona Góra

Objective: To build an advanced prototype (TRL 4.5) of an intelligent satellite manipulator. The two main applications of such a device mounted on a satellite platform are: (i) the removal of space debris, (ii) the servicing of satellites in orbit. The technologies developed within the project may also be used in planetary rovers and in the construction of space infrastructure (e.g. orbital stations).
