Clean Assembly, Subsystems and Satellite Systems – Integration and Testing

The Clean Assembly, Integration and Testing Laboratory for Satellite Systems and Subsystems is a state-of-the-art research facility with an ISO 7 cleanroom classification, enabling the clean assembly, integration and testing of electronic and mechanical satellite systems.

This laboratory plays a key role in the development of space technology. Its main aim is to provide the right conditions for the safe assembly and testing of satellites, whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness and environmental control.

The laboratory is capable of carrying out precise functional, mechanical and thermal tests on satellite components, as well as integrating entire satellite systems prior to their launch into orbit. This makes it possible to detect and eliminate potential faults, ensuring the reliability of the equipment’s operation in space. The laboratory is also used for research and development, prototyping and technical training for engineers and specialists in the space sector.


Our laboratory has a very large clean-room assembly area, making it a unique facility for the space industry and other high-tech sectors.


The laboratory is equipped to carry out comprehensive analyses and tests, including:

  • vibration and shock resistance testing for the automotive, aerospace, medical, defence and energy sectors,
  • tests in the TVC chamber, simulating extreme conditions,
  • testing of satellite systems and subsystems,
  • the integration of small satellites and attitude and orbit control subsystems,
  • testing of small electric manoeuvring thrusters for nano- and microsatellites.

The laboratory comprises several specialised rooms:

Clean assembly room

  • Dimensions: 11 x 10 x 5.8 m (111 m²).
  • Facilities: antistatic flooring, entrance gate (3 m x 3 m), overhead crane with a lifting capacity of up to 2.5 tonnes, operating throughout the entire premises (with the exception of the area designated for the TVC Chamber).
  • Dedicated space (15 m²): Weiss thermal-vacuum chamber (diameter 1.7 m), capable of simulating space conditions within a temperature range of -140°C to +140°C and a pressure of < 10⁻⁶ mbar. Equipped with a temperature and pressure sensor system, a mounting table for test equipment, a liquid nitrogen cooling system and programmable power supplies.
  • Software: Spirale VS, designed to support precise simulation and analysis in the TVC chamber.

  • Dimensions: 4 x 4 x 3 m (17.8 m²).
  • Equipment: vibration exciter (Unholtz-Dickie shaker with an excitation force of 35 kN), control and measurement system, test tables in vertical and horizontal orientations. Operating range of the shaker: 5–2000 Hz.
  • Software: VibrationVIEW 2023, DewesoftX – enabling precise management and analysis of vibration tests.
  • Door: 1.5 x 2 m. Airlock: 3 x 2 x 2.5 m

EMC chamber

  • Dimensions: 9.7 x 10 x 6 m (52 m²).
  • Gate (internal and external): 3m x 3m
  • APFlayer EMC chamber: Dimensions 6 x 7.5 m (45.7 m²), ISO 8 cleanliness class. Equipped with a receiver and a set of specialist antennas for testing the emissions of electronic equipment across a wide frequency range.

Professional installation for businesses and organisations

The laboratory is available both for hire by companies and research institutions, and for commissioned research carried out by the Park’s team. Thanks to its modern infrastructure, companies can conduct advanced research independently or commission PTK – R&D&I specialists to carry it out.
