About the event
The International Astronautical Congress (IAC) is a prestigious event that brings together representatives of all major space agencies, companies, research centres, universities, associations and museums from around the world every year. This year’s edition was held under the theme ‘Responsible space for sustainability’ and focused on the responsible use of outer space.
The first IAC was held in Paris in 1950, and Poland hosted the congress in 1964. Future editions will take place in Sydney (2025) and Antalya (2026). Importantly, in 2027, after more than 60 years, Poland will once again host this prestigious event, which will take place in Poznań under the theme “One Space. Shared Future”.
