On 4 November 2024, a meeting was held at the headquarters of the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) in Warsaw to launch cooperation between PGZ and the Space Technology Park – Research, Development and Innovation (PTK – R&D&I). PGZ was represented by the Vice-President, Mr Arkadiusz Bąk, the Director of Strategy and Development, Mateusz Roszkiewicz, and the Manager of the Strategy and Development Office, Weronika Nowak. Representing PTK – R&D&I were: Chairman of the Board, Prof. Marek Banaszkiewicz; Deputy Chairman of the Board, Dr Jerzy Tutaj; and Board Adviser, Dr Lidia Goettig.

Prospects for cooperation and joint activities

The aim of the meeting was to discuss opportunities for cooperation on joint projects, the hire of PTK’s laboratories by companies forming part of PGZ, and the use of the Park’s Drone Centre to develop new market concepts for existing and future products in the defence industry. Both parties have planned the next steps, including study visits and bilateral meetings with individual PGZ companies, with a view to commencing the implementation of joint initiatives before the end of this year.

The Space Technology Park has state-of-the-art laboratories and specialist equipment, offering extensive research and development capabilities. Combined with its experienced staff and numerous international contacts, PTK – R&D&I is ready to support the development of modern technologies for the defence sector. Further meetings with individual companies within the Group are scheduled for 20, 21 and 22 November – a pace that inspires hope for the future!
